Cruzy is a sole proprietor (for-profit) local business, which started begin
2002.
Cruzy is marketing art and artists mainly through their Website but offers also
management & marketing specialized services for individuals and small groups.
Our vision is to be the portal for visual and performing art in the central
coast area.
Cruzy offers free-listings but gives also the opportunity for your own On-line
Gallery of your visual or performing art. Cruzy is also referring art and artists
and offers sale and buy of art or services through the Website.
Because Cruzy is not specialized, Cruzy is diverse and enable for the artists
exposure to new areas and societies.
Cruzy tries to combine existing art and artists in one Website but wants to
give the opportunity for art and artists who do not have a Website presence
and want to be presented and marketed worldwide affordable.
Because we are not non-profit, we are more flexible, don't have to deal with
the same bureaucracy and are driven to be successful.
The name, Cruzy, is short and can be easy remembered (e.g. Yahoo, Amazon or
Google) than many other long Website names of existing art and artists Websites.
The name Cruzy derives from 'Cruz' in Santa Cruz where the business is originated
and located.
Job description:
The job is not a Web design position but more a data and information updating
position You need to handle data, information and photos of new and current
clients and need to maintain the existing Website.
Our Website has free listings, clients who pay for their listing and patron
members. The paid listings contain photos and even entire photo galleries. The
Website also has rotating advertisement banners, calendar of events, a discussion
forum, news & highlights and a referral service.
The work focuses mainly on Website and database maintenance and management but
also improving effort and efforts such as updating Website contents and information,
adding new contents, modifying WebPages if required, but also drive electronic
marketing efforts such as ensuring that our company & logo are represented at
other existing Websites (such as local Websites) and Search sites (such as Google
and Yahoo).
The person will communicate mainly via phone and e-mail and will participate
at our team meetings once a week.
This position is on contractor's basis and a profit sharing position until there
is enough revenue generated to guarantee a regular base salary. No benefits
(contractors basis).
Conditions:
Start: immediately
Duration: continuous.
Type: Contractors basis
Working Hours: 3-5 hours a week at the beginning, pending response and success.
Can increase to 8-12+ hours a week.
Work from home: provide your own connections and equipments (PC, Scanner, etc)
MS/IBM-PC and software preferred to ensure compatibilty with systems used in
the industry
Requirements:
The candidate needs to have the time and interest.
A local person of legal age. Experience in the industry is a plus.
The candidate needs know how to administer and maintain Websites and its content
(like Dream weaver and html) and needs to know how to manage and work with databases
such as Access.
Because we are posting photos on the Website, the candidate needs to know Adobe
Photoshop, and needs to know how to manage and digitize photos from scanning
until putting into a presenting format in the Website including documentation
of these data. Knowledge with Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
