We will invite everyone to fun dance lessons followed by a performance of one to two songs.  This was a fun and rewarding experience for everyone last year and we invite everyone to join us

Performers meet us at: 2:00pm (we plan to rehears before the performance)
Sign-Up requirement: Confident Beginners level 2 and up
Sign-Up period: Wednesday April 23 - Thursday May 3
(open sign-up sheet is at our classes).

Salsa Rueda Santa Cruz supports this fundraiser for the 6th year in a row!  Hosted by the Davenport Resource Center, introducing the ethnic art of Salsa dance, Casino Rueda style de Cuba, with a performance followed by instruction for everyone.
This is a fun event for the entire family!

The first ten  performers who sign up receive a coupon for a delicious Mexican meal!  Yes, we can have more than ten people... but to get the free food, sign up fast!   And if you are not in the performance, show up anyway to support the free dance lesson for everyone. There will be lots of dancing to live music.
Performers meet us at about: 2:00pm (we will rehearse before the performance behind the church)
Sign-Up requirement: Beginners level 2 and up
Sign-Up period: Wednesday April 8 - Thursday May 1
(open sign-up sheet is at our classes).
Rehearsals:
There will be one short rehearsal on Monday April 28 after class at 9pm.
We also will rehearse just before the performance behind the church.
Outfit: Salsa Rueda Santa Cruz T-shirt or black T-shirt and Blue Jeans or Blue Jeans skirt. 
If you don't own an SRSC shirt, wear something red.  Wear sunscreen!

Thursday, March 27. Join the Bridge class because we will do same as for rehearsal.

Salsa Rueda Santa Cruz' is proud to support the 3rd annual Salsa Rueda Congress in Miami. Two team members, Chris and Jessica attended this event. They were the only representatives of a dance school organization from California.

The team members connected with Henry Herrera, Billy Fajardo and many other Salsa Rueda dance teachers as well as many students from the Americas, Italy, Spain and Germany. They exchanged teaching experiences, moves and the latest and greatest in music. Their experience will be a great addition to our fun-entertaining dance classes.

'Salsa Rueda Santa Cruz' is proud to support for the second time this fundraising event with  Dorothy Granada for the women's clinic in Nicaragua.
Dorothy will be giving an update on the  community in Nicaragua and her clinic in Mulukuk that so many Santa Cruzians have been supporting for 15 years now.
After the speeches, SRSC will perform to one or two songs followed by dance instructions for everyone.
The performers of SRSC are invited to participate at the dinner and beverages.

Colors of Monterey bay parade will begin at 11 AM at the Portola Plaza,
process along Alvarado Street, and finish at the City Hall with a grand
final performance. The joyful procession explores, values and promotes
ethnic local organizations, presenting an incredibly diverse range of music
styles, dance types, ethnic heritages and abilities. Led by SambaDá, the
Santa Cruz’s based Brazilian percussion and dance group, the United Colors
of Monterey Bay parade presents performances of high quality and offers
opportunities for local groups to show their cultural richness and
outstanding talents.

After the parade a performance on stage is following in fro of City Hall.
Salsa Rueda Santa Cruz will assemble a team of representatives for this event.

Rehearsals are mandatory on Mondays from 9-10pm at the CayugaVault:
August 25th, Sept 8, Sept 15, Sept 22. Note: no class or rehearsal on Monday Sept 1!
Outfit: all in black! Nice black pants or skirt with black top. Black shoes.

"Salsa Rueda Santa Cruz" presents 'Salsa Rueda to the community and supports this event with a performance followed with dance for everyone!

The event is also sponsored by "Safe Our Shores".
After the event we will form a message on the beach made out of humans bodies forming letters saying "Beach Clean Now!"
A helicopter will take photos for the local newspaper, the Sentinel.

The Beach Clean Event is from 9am-2pm
Dance with DJ Itziar is from 11am-2pm
Salsa Rueda Performance is at 12:30pm

Rehearsals: not scheduled.
All you need to know is at least Salsa Rueda Beginners Level.
